In recent years almond milk is likely to dethrone soy milk with its undeniable advantages. Indeed, it has the same consistency as cow's milk, but it does not contain the famous enemies of the health of sensitive people: gluten, lactose and cholesterol. On the contrary, it is rich in useful elements: vitamins, antioxidants and minerals.
In reality, almond milk is among the good foods to lose weight. This is due to the fact that it has fewer calories than some milk of plant origin. In addition, according to scientific research, its high vitamin E content helps prevent and delay aging processes. It also provides natural fibers, vitamins D and A, proteins, omega 6, zinc, calcium, iron, magnesium and potassium.
In short, what are the reasons why you should prefer almond milk to cow's milk?
It helps the absorption of sugars and fats by the intestines and makes digestion easier. Vitamin B2 and zinc present in almond milk are very useful for nails, skin and hair. Originally 100% vegetable, this milk is low in protein and saturated fatty acids, so it is a good and healthier alternative to cow's milk.
Recipes at the base of almond milk
Semolina chocolate and almond milk
- 70 g of fine semolina
- 600 ml of almond milk
- 1 C. sugar coffee
- 50 g dark chocolate
- cinnamon powder
First, melt the chocolate in a bain-marie. Then boil the almond milk, sugar and cinnamon in a saucepan.
At boiling, add the melted chocolate milk and stir well.
Then add the semolina to the preparation and cook for 4-5 minutes, stirring constantly with a spatula. You can remove fire when the mixture thickens.
Divide the chocolate semolina into molds or cups. Let cool in the fridge before serving!
Panna cotta with almond milk and fruits
- 2 g of agar-agar powder
- 500 ml of almond milk
- 200 ml whole liquid cream
- 1 pinch of vanilla powder
- 100 gr of sugar
For garnish :
- fruit: strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, blackcurrants, blackberries, bananas
- 1 C. honey
First, mix the agar with half the milk, half the liquid cream and the vanilla in a saucepan. Boil, then remove the pan from the heat and add the rest of the cream and milk, mixing well.
Then place over low heat and cook for 1 to 2 minutes, stirring with a spatula. Remove from the fire and sugar. Finally, divide the dessert into cups and leave in the refrigerator for at least 3 hours.
Meanwhile, put the fruit in a saucepan over low heat. As soon as they start making juice, remove from heat and mix with honey.
The fruit filling is to be added to the dessert just before serving. Drop a few spoonfuls on each cup.
