Strawberry - a fruit that announces spring
Today we talk about healthy treats that can be prepared with strawberries.
Present in markets from early spring to late summer, strawberries are in full swing in June. They are indeed particularly interesting for their vitamin intake which stimulates our immune defenses. Daily consumption of fresh strawberries may increase the antioxidant capacity of the body.
Currently strawberries are produced in many French regions
When you buy strawberries, go for reds, without stains, very shiny and firm. Do not take them necessarily big but still very fragrant.
If you can not consume them in a row, keep them in the vegetable compartment of the refrigerator, but for a maximum of 3 days.
When you wash strawberries, do it quickly without soaking them and then making them wet, otherwise they lose their vitamins and risk waterlogging.

5 healthy strawberry treats
Strawberry salad (healthy delicacies with mint)
- 500 g strawberries
- 30 cl of rosé wine
- 1 dash of strawberry syrup
- 80 g of sugar
- 1 bouquet of mint
First boil the wine, sugar and strawberry syrup in a saucepan. After lowering the heat and cook 10 min.
Remove from the fire. Then cover and let infuse 10 min.
After cut the strawberries into pieces. Pour over the filtered warm syrup with a colander.
Finally let cool in the refrigerator for 3 hours.
Serve the salad decorated with mint leaves.
Milk strawberry shake with vanilla (healthy treats with dairy products)
- 150 g strawberries
- 4 tablespoons vanilla ice cream
- 10 cl of fresh cream
- 15 cl of milk
Strawberry sorbet (healthy treats with gar gum)
- 1 kg of strawberries
- 100 g of liquid honey
- 100 g caster sugar
- 1 lemon
- 1 teaspoon shaved guar gum
First boil 5 tbsp. water with sugar and guar gum in a small saucepan. Then let cool.
Rinse and dry the strawberries. Remove the tails.
Then put the strawberries in a blender or a robot and mix them with the syrup, honey and lemon juice. Pass the mixture through a fine strainer.
Put in ice cream machines. Finally, reserve 1 hour in the refrigerator, and then 2 hours in the freezer.
Strawberry and watermelon smoothie (healthy delicacies with fruits)
- 2 cups strawberries hulled
- 4 cups cubes of watermelon (red) without seeds
- 1 cup of yogurt
- 2 tbsp. honey
- some fresh mint leaves
Put all the ingredients in the mixer jar and liquefy. Add ice cubes before serving.
Strawberry Mojito (healthy delicacies with a little alcohol)
- 6 tbsp. Cuban rum
- 1/2 of lime
- 3 tbsp. strawberry syrup
- 4 mint leaves
- 3 crushed ice cubes
- 1 glass of sparkling water
First put in a glass rum, mint, a little strawberry syrup and cut fruits. Then stack the whole thing. Squeeze half of the lime into the mixture.
After filling the glass with ice cubes until halfway. Add the sparkling water. Finally, using a spoon mix everything before serving the cocktail.
